Thread critters but different

Besides of crocheted animals and figurines I create embroidered dolls and toys. I decided that I can show them up here as well. For the begin I want to show my two new double sided embroidered toys.

Every year I try to make at least one animal - the sign of the next coming year. According to Chinese Calendar 2011 will be the Year of Rabbit. But according to the Japanese Calendar next, 2011, year will be the Year of Cat. So... I decided to make two animals.

Please, meet Christmas Bunny.
Bunny made after my own pattern. He's cross stitched from two sides, very stable because of special bottom part.
